Our focus this week centred around International Week.Year Five learned about the 10 ASEAN nations. This slide show will provide a summary of some of our learning.

Next week in Maths we will be learning about Place Value
  • Count forwards or backwards in steps of powers of 10 for any given number up to 1 000 000.
  • Read, write, order and compare numbers to at least 1 000 000 and determine the value of each digit.
  • Identify the value of each digit to three decimal places.
  • Round any number up to 1 000 000 to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10 000 and 100 000.

This week Y5 has had the ability to analyse their data they collected from their survey taken the week before. Learners made their graph according to their ability and type of question they asked. We spend the rest of the week reflecting on past learning that has been consolidated this term by updating their online portfolios and making real-world connections to their knowledge build this term.
