Week Beginning 28th October 





Following Our Passions and Interests has been a major theme at UDIS this week.



UDIS students have been learning about their passions and interests. Year Five have created a display just outside of our classroom. Do come and look when you next visit school.



Year Four led an assembly on the theme of "Follow your interests"



Some children chose to play football/soccer



Some children chose to play computer games







Dr. Lindsay. showed children his archery equipment 




In class, we used our one to one devices for group reading activities relating to our theme of explorers.





                                            We have been learning about commas.





Our Spellings for this week are...


Y5 Maths consisted of inquiring further into fractions at many different levels to fit the needs of each learner. Fractions have many different parts which and as we progress further into our Y5 standards we continue to develop our knowledge and how we process difficult information that might be presented.
Learners are always encouraged to work independently but there are times when more 1:1 time is needed to help make learning more concrete.  Overall our week was very productive and we will continue to work on fractions next week to get a better sense of what and why fractions are needed in our lives.

Week Beginning 15th June 2020

  We have finally made it to the end of the term. It has been quite challenging, especially with the Covid 19 closure but the children ...
