Thunking
Thunking involves thinking about some really big questions and trying to answer them. This week our Thunk question was... if I borrow a million baht am I a millionaire?
Explorer Presentation
Year 5 have each chosen a particular explorer to research. Some of their choices are familiar, others not. When the presentationsa re complete we shall be inviting parents to come to an end of unit showcase.
Being the teacher!
This week Year Five have been learning about dictation where they had to listen and write at the same time. They then got to correct their own work just like being a teacher!

Maths this week allowed us to continue our work with measurements. We worked on converting from one measurement to another for example 2kg=2000g. All learners had the opportunities to discover how long objects were in the classroom using a variety of measuring tools. We also spend time working on vocabulary and abbreviations that are commonly known within the area of measurement.
Kavier measuring the length pencil sharpener in cm.
Liew, Oum and Athens measuring the length of the window using a meter stick.
Daewa and Liew measuring the height of Amanda in cm.
Eric, Phee and Kavier using a meter stick to measure longer lengths such as the door.
Comparing different measuring tools - what tools do you use for measuring length, liquid, temperature?
