Next week, our learning will focus on our end of unit assessment. The children will take on the role of a T-shirt designer and put together a package of materials which could be used to present their product to potential buyers.

Maths this week was a little different as we really thought we would be back in school so some of the energy we encounter during our lessons were not top-notch, including me. However, as we now know that our learning will continue online for the rest of the term. I think learners know that we ONLY have 2 weeks left of school and that has rejuvenated our spirits.

This week we continued with division and some groups moved to division with remainders. This is more difficult online but have to commend Y5 learners for putting forth effort and stamina to do the best they can to expand their knowledge and show what they can do independently.

Next week, we will be working on portfolios. We will be adding the new concepts learned or retaught this term such as common factors, common multiplies, long multiplication, long division and division with remainders.
