Week Beginning 30th September

We have been learning about similes and are really good at these now. Next, we are learning about metaphors. These are a little more tricky

Here we are playing a 'Match the Mertaphor' game

Year 5 continue to make great use of their laptops for learning

This week Year 4 and Year 5 visited a Christian Church near school

The church had it's own radio station

There were rooms for meetings and Bible study

This was the main Chuch buiding. This is where Christians come to pray. Some services are held as early as 5.30 am

You can see the Christian sign of the cross on the wall

At the church they grow their own rice and keep a range of farm animals

Maths
Maths this week has been very busy. We worked on developing our portfolios which are composed of slides that show what each learner has been working on in all subject areas since the start of school. Mr Rick was around for special visits this week.

We have also been working on videos that demonstrates each learners' understanding of money or being an entrepreneur which was part of their homework last week.
Lastly, we spent time assessing each learner on the "I can statement" on addition and subtraction.

Next week, we will be completing our entrepreneur project by setting up our stalls that will display their products they are selling in the Community Hub. We will be inviting classes and parents to attend once we are set up so stayed turn for this exciting event and be prepared to spend some money.
